It feels like we've be getting talk about 'Army of Darkness 2' for...well, the past 20 years since it hit theaters, including just a few weeks ago when star Bruce Campbell "confirmed" his return. But, could it be that a sequel to the cult classic could actually be happening now? For really?

The director of this year's 'Evil Dead' remake, Fede Alvarez, tweeted over the weekend that Sam Raimi (who worked closely with Alzvarez on remake), would return to direct 'Army of Darkness 2.'

Of course, this is all a lot of talk and little in the way of actual deals. As Campbell is fond of saying, Sam Raimi is a very busy man and his interest in directing 'Army of Darkness 2' may never develop into an actual production. Raimi currently has not decided on his next directorial project (he's currently producing the 'Poltergeist' remake), but after this year's successful 'Oz, the Great and Powerful,' he may be looking to take a break from the big-budget family movies.

The better question, aside from Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi saying they want to return, is whether anyone will give them the money to actually go make the film. Remember, we live in a world Paramount refused to make an 'Anchorman 2' (to the point where Will Ferrell actually gave up and moved on to other projects) and where a sequel to the 'Evil Dead' remake isn't even guaranteed. Money for a 20-year-old cult classic - even one as legendary as 'Army of Darkness' - won't be a slam dunk.

What do you think? Are you excited for an 'Army of Darkness 2'? Should there be a crossover with the rebooted 'Evil Dead' universe?
