The owners of Right to Bear Arms are asking for your help making sure law enforcement officers in Gibson County have the supplies they need in the event a serious injury occurs on the job.

On Saturday, Right to Bear Arms will host a fundraiser at their location at 265 East 925 South in Haubstadt from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. to accept donation for the purchase of "Downed Officer Kits" they'll hand over to law enforcement throughout Gibson County.

The kits are designed to provide officers and other emergency personnel critical medical supplies they can use in the field if, God forbid, anything happens to them in the line of duty, and include:

  • 1x SOF® Tactical Tourniquet-Wide
  • 1x OLAES® 4" Modular Bandage
    • Each OLAES® Bandage contains:
      • 3 meters of sterile 4 ply gauze
      • Plastic occlusive sheet included in dressing pocket
  • Transparent pressure cup that focuses pressure on the wound and acts as an eye cup for treatment of eye injuries
  • 1x Face Shield
  • 1PR Nitrile Gloves
  • 1x 2” Surgical Tape
  • 1x 5.5” Trauma Shears

The event will also feature Dewig Meats on site selling burgers and hot dogs, plus a raffle featuring restaurant gift cards, movie passes, plus a "Glock 19 Gen 5," and more. Proceeds from the raffle will go toward the purchase of the kits.
