Pop Evil are inching closer to the release of a new album and they've got another new song for fans to check out. The band just revealed their lyric video for the hard hitting new song "Dead in the Water." Check out the watery clip above.

Frontman Leigh Kakaty told PopMatters, who debuted the video, “The song was written about the constant feeling I have of sinking farther and farther from reality, which has led to a internal fight to get my head above water.”

"Dead in the Water" is featured on Pop Evil's fifth studio album, UP, which is due on Aug. 21. The song follows on the heels of the previously released single "Footsteps" and the preview track "In Disarray." The UP album is available for pre-order via iTunes and at their website.

Kakaty recently told Full Metal Jackie, "Where we are in our lives right now, this time around, again that identity of trying to have more fun and be more positive with the messages we’re trying to send both musically and lyrically, it’s made for what we believe our best effort yet."

Pop Evil are currently in the midst of supporting the album with dates booked into October. They'll share stages with Red Sun Rising, Aranda and Three Days Grace on select dates. See all their shows and get ticketing and VIP package info at this location.
