It's National Puppy Day! Which is the perfect day to learn where all the puppies are in the tri-state!

It is a known fact that ALL DOGS ARE PUPPIES. I don't care if they're 15 days or 15 years old. Dogs are always puppies. Sometimes they're just big puppies.

And on this National Puppy Day I thought I'd highlight the puppies here in the tri-state that you can help out. Whether that be through donations, fostering, or adoption.

1. Evansville Animal Care & Control
815 E Uhlhorn St
Evansville, IN 47710
(812) 435-6015

Some people think of "animal control" as doggy jail. It's not! Evansville Animal Care & Control is like a halfway point for missing dogs and dogs that need new homes. If your puppy is missing, check EACC. If you're looking for a sweetheart that just needs a new home, check EACC.

There are many puppies (and kitties) that are brought in after being found on the street that don't have owners (or had an owner that was a meanie and didn't take care of them like they should). And after their hold is up, they are available for foster and adoption.

2. Another Chance For Animals
2808 N First Avenue
Evansville, Indiana 47710
(812) 217-7738

Another Chance For Animals is always looking for donations and foster homes. They are a nonprofit that goes above and beyond for these puppies (and kitties) with the resources available to them.

3. PC Pound Puppies
(
No address)
(812) 483-4341
pcpoundpuppies1@gmail.com

PC Pound Puppies is another local nonprofit that are looking volunteers all the time. Contact them here if you'd like to volunteer, donate, foster, or adopt.

They also have adoption Sundays at the Pet Food Center on the North Side (by Target) from noon to 3p.

PC Pound Puppies is a privately owned kennel that is not open to the public. Check out their website and facebook page to view puppies available for adoption and call or e-mail to set up an appointment to see the puppies.

4. Vanderburgh Humane Society
400 Millner Industrial Dr
Evansville, IN 47710
(812) 426-2563

Another place where you can volunteer your time, donate, foster, or adopt.

5. Warrick Humane Society
5722 S Vann Rd
Newburgh, IN 47630
(812) 858-1132

And another place where you can volunteer, donate, foster, or adopt.

6. Humane Society of Henderson Co.
203 Drury Lane
Henderson, KY 42420
(270) 826-8966

Due to construction, adoptions are by appointment only until March 30th. So contact them for a visit at the number provided above.

But just because there is construction doesn't mean they don't still need volunteers and foster homes too!

7. New Hope Animal Rescue
26 Atkinson St
Henderson, Kentucky 42420
(270) 827-8088

Your donations really come in handy when the weather isn't so nice. And with the weather we've been having lately in the tri-state, that means your donations are needed now more than ever.

So help these puppies (and kitties) out by donating, fostering, or adopting them today!
