Sounder is one big sweet fella that likes to talk! Yes, he has that typical coonhound voice and he will sing you the song of his people if you don’t pay him enough attention! Once he receives your affections, he quiets down and enjoys the love. Sounder walks well on a leash, but he tends to pull when excited, and he is one strong boy. He loves his treats and will take them very gently from your hand. Sounder will need a large fenced yard and an active family who will take him on plenty of walks. Coonhounds can be difficult to train, so Sounder will need an experienced dog owner with patience who is dedicated to making him a loving member of the family. He is fine with other dogs but has not been tested with cats.
