After dropping game two against River City, 11-4 last night at Bosse Field, the Otters look to take game three, and the series against the Rascals tonight as well as move into a tie for the East Division lead with the Washington Wild Things.

The Otters found themselves in a three-run hole early in Sunday evening's game against the Rascals before tying the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a RBI single from All-Star first baseman, Shayne Houck, a double from outfielder Chris Elder, and a single to left field from Chris Sweeney.

They remained tied at three a piece until the top of the seventh where the Rascals added three runs before tossing in another four at the top of the eighth. A gap that proved too much for the Otters to overcome.

The silver lining to this small cloud is that despite the loss, the Otters sit only a half-game back out of the East Division lead thanks to a double-header loss on Sunday against Traverse City. Washington is off today, meaning a win by the Otters tonight would put them in a tie for first.

However, the Otters are not alone in second place as the Southern Illinois Miners are also a half-game back after an 8-3 loss to Joliet on Sunday.

Monday's game at Bosse Field is scheduled for a 6:35pm start where it's Deaconess Family Night and Back to School Night. Call 812-435-8686 for tickets.
