The next time someone hands you some money, you may want to look it over.  The Owensboro Police Department is investigating eight cases in which fraudulent money was exchanged here in town.

According to the OPD, there have been eight documented cases involving the
exchange of fraudulent money as payment for goods or services.

A total of five fraudulent $100 bills and 10 fraudulent $20 bills have been passed.  And here's what they look like!

The Owensboro Police Department is bringing this to YOUR attention
in order to remove these bills from circulation.  According to investigating detectives, several of the bills "are clearly marked as props and should not be accepted as legal tender."
