Olga Kurylenko -- who had two films this month with 'To the Wonder' and 'Oblivion' -- is set to lead the cast of 'Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters,' the latest in a long line of young adult novels to be translated to the big screen.

The news comes from Deadline that Kurylenko will be joining Zoey Deutch, Lucy Fry and Danila Kozlovski in 'Vampire Academy,' which will be helmed by 'Mean Girls' director Mark Waters. This would be an adaption of the first in a series that currently spans six books, so it's obviously ready to be a franchise and could lead to at least five more movies (and possibly more going by the last couple successful young adult franchises).

Kurylenko makes for a good anchor. Breaking into Hollywood by playing a number of sexpot roles and a Bond girl in 'Quantum of Solace,' this year she proved she's more than a beautiful face in 'To the Wonder,' and we're looking forward to seeing her stretch.

But it's hard to tell if this will be good for Kurylenko's career, as you never know which young adult fiction books will work on the big screen. For every 'Harry Potter,' there's been the also-rans like 'Eragon' and 'Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant,' for every 'Twilight' there's a number of 'Beautiful Creatures,' and for every 'The Hunger Games' there's a handful of films like 'The Host.' Vampires at a Hogwarts-esque school sounds exactly like the sort of film that Hollywood knows how to sell, though, so perhaps this will launch a series.
