While Nickelback generally seem to incite a ‘love them’ or ‘hate them’ attitude from music enthusiasts, one excited fan was willing to risk life in limb to see their concert Tuesday night (July 24) at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

According to venue officials, the drunk 22-year-old Kevin Beaudette fell in an embankment after losing his footing during his quest to sneak into the venue. “Last evening an individual who appeared to be intoxicated, and who was outside the venue, apparently lost his footing and slipped down the embankment that runs along SPAC’s Route 50 parking lot,” said SPAC President Marcia White.

The Fire department was dispatched to help after failed attempts by the onsite medical crew to reach him in the Geyser Brook Gorge. The local fire department had to use a basket to retrieve Beaudette stuck in gorge. He had fallen about 40-feet deep into the cavity.

Beaudette was taken to the local hospital where he was treated for bruises and cuts and released. No charges have been filed against him at this time.

So that begs the question, what’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to see your favorite band? Hopefully a trip down a gorge wasn’t involved!
