Coolest School Supplies You Can Find in Evansville for Back to School
It’s back to school time, and while the kids know they have to purchase their basics, many want to spice up their desks and lockers with the latest and most fun supplies and accessories. So, I hopped in the car and scoped thing out for you.
First stop Target, and what did I find? Drumstick pencil toppers made by Scribble Stuff for only $1.99. I’m not sure how well your child’s teacher will appreciate the writing tool accessory, but if your child is anything like me and has nervous habits like foot tapping or other repetitive behavior, this addition is not only a creative outlet, but it is also a calming one, too. That and you never know, you may have a budding Dave Grohl!

Next, I found locker disco balls and locker curtains to liven up your child’s personal space.

I’m not sure how distracting this Doodle Xpressions product will be to other classmates, but you have to admit that this faux glasses/functional pen combo is super cute!

My next stop was over to Walmart, and how adorable are these stackable Scribble Stuff accessories? Think Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, but with pencils. The fun part is that you can mix and match to suit your mood!

My next must recommend is checking out Pink Chandelier brand binders, folders, and notepads. When I was younger Lisa Frank brand was all the rage. With Pink Chandelier, though think more refined. Their designs have a bit of a vintage edge to them, too, that makes them stylish.

And who doesn’t like sparkly glue?!!?

My last stop was over to Micheal's to see if anything look good for back-to-school. What I found was duct tape and thinner duct tape comparable to washi tape. For those not familiar with the versatility of duct tape for kids’, Squido has some great project ideas for the teen and tween set at: http://upon-request.squidoo.com/back-to-school-with-duct-tape. Now if you don’t know what washi tape is, go immediately to http://www.sheknows.com/living/articles/951617/what-is-washi-tape to learn about this delicate version of thinner duct tape that is all the rage for daintier projects for kids, teens, and tweens. Both duct tape and washi tape let kids show their individuality and overcome the hurdle of having the same school supplies that every other child has because most parents are purchasing them in a lot of the same places!
