Why are Rey and Luke fighting?? Can't we all just get along?

That seems to be the main question on everyone's mind after watching the latest trailer for The Last Jedi during last night's World Series game.

"Darkness rises; and light to meet it."

That quote used to mean something so much more simpler. But now that more and more trailers are coming out, the line between light and dark is blurring. I mean, in the trailer that was released 3 weeks ago we had a fearful Luke saying that he'd "only seen this raw strength once before. It didn't scare me enough then. It does now." and then the scene cut to a metal appendage.

It led us to believe he was talking about Rey, and the metal appendage was a throwback to Anakin Skywalker. But honestly, we don't know who Luke was talking about. It could have been Kylo Ren. And that appendage could have been his that we saw.

Trailers are cut to deceive us sometimes!

But then later in the same trailer, we see Rey saying "I need someone to show me my place in all this." TO KYLO.

So, who's light? Who's dark? Who's confused??? (Me.)

And in the new trailer I have even more questions.

"This is not going to go the way you think."

Is Rey going to hurt Luke? Is she disagreeing with something he told her to do or not do? Has she made a decision to go to the dark side? Or is she going to try to help Kylo be Ben again?

I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS.

First of which is: IS IT DECEMBER YET???
