My mom, who was born in Evansville but now lives in Florida, loves to share photos and videos of Evansville's past with me.  I am Evansville born and bred and am always interested to see things from out city's past and how the landscape of Evansville has changed over the last 100 years or so.   In these videos I saw both The Victory and The Grand movie theaters. My grandfather, who was a commercial artist worked for both movie houses back in the day before mass produced movie posters.  In the 20's and 30's, the film studio would send around photos from different scenes in a movie and it was up to a local artist to create the movie poster.  That's what my grandfather did.  He was so good that several of his movie posters hang in the Motion Picture Association of America Museum in Hollywood.  Anyway, take a look at our fair city as seen by our parents and grandparents.  I've posted two videos which I hope you'll enjoy.
