There may be no one more happy to have a new Metallica album out than the band themselves. The double-disc Hardwired ... To Self-Destruct has received plenty of praise since its release last fall, and while all of the songs were given videos to help promote the set, the band has paced themselves when it comes to introducing the fresh material into their live performances. The latest live debut from the album came Sunday (Sept. 10) during the group's performance as the Bercy Accorhotels Arena in Paris with the guys delivering a blistering rendition of "ManUNkind."

James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo bathed in red light, do some somber picking to open the track, before Lars Ulrich's cymbal crashes raise the energy and the fans chant along to the heaviness of the beat. Hetfield sways along to the beat of the lengthy instrumental to open the song before finally stepping up to the mic. It's an epic track with several signature changes and plenty of wailing guitar coming from both Kirk Hammett and Hetfield. By playing in the round, Hetfield, Hammett and Trujillo make ample use of the space while circling Ulrich onstage, playing to different parts of the crowd throughout. Watch as the band deliver the live debut on the song in the fan-shot video above.

As stated, Metallica debuted the video for "ManUNkind" last fall during the rollout in the lead-up to the release of Hardwired ... To Self-Destruct. Acclaimed director Jonas Akerlund shot the video for the song, which featured a corpse-painted four piece outfit playing while the singer sliced himself open to pour blood on the adoring crowd. You can revisit that video here.

The Paris performance was a memorable one for Metallica fans, as not only did they debut "ManUNkind" live, but the band paid homage to French metal band Trust by performing a cover of "Antisocial" during the show.
