Mended Little Hearts Of Evansville, Presents “An Evening For Gavin”

On August 7th, 2011, God made the decision for Gavin Loren Koenig to begin his mission in Heaven.    On September 17th, 2009, Gavin was born to t Dustin (DK) and Haley Koenig. He loved his dogs, Baley and Zooey. He enjoyed music, and his favorite song was Barney's "Silly Hat." He also loved dancing, reading books, golf cart rides and playing with his cousins. Gavin continues to touch lives, through his sto...ry, and the impact that he created, during his short time with us.

A group of Dustin and Haleys' friends have teamed-up with the Mended Little Hearts of Evansville, and created a musical benefit, in an effort to assist them with the financial burden of losing a loved one. Because Gavin was born with a congenital heart defect, the MLHE hopes to share his story, so that his light continues to shine with us here on Earth.

The event will consist of musical performances by Dave Newton (formerly of Bosko), The Cold Stares, Jeremy Caine, The Boat Monkeys, Sideshow Romance, and potentially others, who will be named at a later date. In addition to musical performances, a silent auction will take place, and will consist of various items that have been donated by the community. There will be a $10 charge at the door of the Clarion Ballroom, with all proceeds going directly to the Koenig family (donation boxes will be present as well, if you choose to contribute additionally). The event will be all ages, with no charge for children under three years of age. Both food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase, along with ample seating.
