The Muscular Dystrophy Association has long been known for their annual Labor Day telethon hosted by longtime spokesman Jerry Lewis. But that's not the case this year. The telethon is being replaced by the "Show of Strength" program.

The "Show of Strength" is the MDA’s new three-hour, prime-time Labor Day weekend entertainment special. It will air this Sunday, September 2nd at 7pm on stations all over the country, including channel 14 WFIE here in the Tri-State.

The show will feature a wide musical performances, a variety of celebrity appearances, as well as inspiring and moving stories from MDA patients and their families. And even though this isn't exactly a telethon, it is still definitely a fundraiser...one that the MDA depends on. And there will still be opportunities for you to make a donation.
