This morning I was out in Boonville, IN for a live broadcast at the newly renovated McDonald's. Today was their grand re-opening ceremony. It included the Boonville High School band, members of the chamber of commerce and lots of prize giveaways.

For whatever reason, Evansville (and the Tri-State) has always been a test market for McDonald's. When there is a new product, they'll test it out down here. Depending on the response it may, or may not, become a national product. The same goes for the decorations at McDonald's. Remember the changes made to the McD's at Rosenberger and Lloyd a while back?

Well, the changes made to the Boonville McDonald's are another test. And in my opinion, they are awesome. Before you even enter the restaurant, you'll see a clearly identifiable double-lane drive-thru for enhanced, on-the-go service. Once inside, you can't help but notice the modern seating and furniture, including booths, chairs and lounge-style seating areas. Plus, comfortable lighting levels and fixtures that create pleasant dining experiences.Modern seating and furniture, including booths, chairs and lounge-style seating areas.
