MB Roland Distillery is Worth the Short Road Trip!
This weekend I stopped by a distillery that's a short drive from the Tri-State and was not disappointed!
So this past weekend I accidentally went to the wrong Clarksville. How did that happen? Well there is a beautiful vintage stereo console I want to buy and the person selling it told me it was located in Clarksville. Now me, being me, didn't double check the address, my mind went "Clarksville? That's in Tennessee!" But actually it was in Clarksville Indiana...
So I didn't get my beautiful stereo because I didn't look up the address UNTIL I WAS IN CLARKSVILLE TENNESSEE because I'm an adult and I do what I want. Since my friends and I had already driven to the wrong Clarksville we decided to make the best out of it. We hit up a cool little brewery for lunch, found some flea markets, and then ended the trip in Pembrook Kentucky at a distillery that was on the way home!
MB Roland Distillery to be exact, and it was such a cool place! My husband and I enjoy going to breweries and distilleries whenever we can fit it in, so we were not disappointed. It's worth the 1.5 hour drive from Evansville. It's also a part of the Stateline Whiskey Tour where you do the tour by stopping at MB Roland, Casey Jones Distillery, and Old Glory Distilling Co, and at each one you get a shot glass with your tour and at the end you get a really cool wooden shot glass holder.
The are a "grain to glass" distillery in Pembrook Kentucky. They use local white corn to make their products. Their location was originally an Amish dairy farm, that they've now turned into their distillery. So it feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, but it's not too far off of the path home from Clarksville. They also have a really cool gift shop where you can taste the different types of bourbon and spirits they offer, along with some really cool products.
We took a distillery tour, and my husband picked up a bottle of their Kentucky bourbon. They even had cute pups on site ready to greet you, this is Wolfgang, he's as sweet as he looks.
And I mean seriously, look at this view!
