Dr. Peter Venkman (aka Bill Murray) once prophesized that the end of times would include human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together and mass hysteria, but we wonder if he ever imagined this. This summer, Marilyn Manson and the William Corgan-led Smashing Pumpkins will be busting some ghosts of feuds past by teaming up for a co-headlining tour.

News of the trek, dubbed "The End Times" tour, was revealed this morning on the Howard Stern Show. It will kick off on the heavenly 7/7 (July 7) in Concord, Calif., at the Concord Pavilion. Dates will continue through 8/8 (Aug. 8) in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tickets go on sale this Friday (April 3).

Manson and Corgan have been quite chummy of late, renewing their once held friendship that soured in the '90s when Manson was dating actress Rose McGowan. Earlier this year, he told Esquire that the tension between he and Corgan began when the Smashing Pumpkins vocalist sent a letter to Manson warning him about the actress.

He stated, "It was funny because I ran into Billy and a lot of people think there was some kind of falling out. It was mostly that he wrote a strongly worded letter about how Rose McGowan would ruin my life and ruin my career if I stayed with her, which was good advice, and he wrote it as a letter, which is very polite. There is sort of a guy code that I abide by where he totally offered his advice and he was genuinely looking out for my best interests."

The friends then didn't see each other for about 15 years, but once they crossed paths again, Manson stated, "I had forgotten how close we were, having not seen him in so long. He's the one who taught me how to play guitar, so if it sucks or if it's good, it's his fault."

Not only have the pair made amends, they actually have shared the stage a couple of times. You can see video of a performance with Manson joining Smashing Pumpkins for "Ava Adore" in London above.

Manson will be promoting The Pale Emperor album, while Corgan and his current incarnation of Smashing Pumpkins will be supporting the late 2014 release Monuments to an Elegy. Corgan reportedly has another Smashing Pumpkins disc called Day for Night in the works, but no official release date has been announced.
