Tuesday afternoon brought some 'big city' excitement to Evansville, as a 23 year old man lead police on a high speed chase. And for that unique 'Evansville twist' to the story, he was driving a mini-van.

Although its no 'Great McDonalds Yogurt Heist', the story begins at a Henderson pawn shop. That's where police say Dakota Reisinger came in to sell some guns. An employee at the store thought the guns may have been stolen and alerted police.

After a brief chase in Henderson, Reisinger crossed the bridge in to Evansville. According to posts on the EvansvilleWatch Facebook page, people called police to report a mini-van traveling over 100 m.p.h. on the Northbound Twin Bridges.

Evansville police picked up the chase shortly afterward. Where it continued northbound on Highway 41, going through several high accident intersections.

The chase would eventually end near 41 and Virginia after Reisinger crashed. He was taken in to custody, and two female occupants in the van were also held by police.

I never knew mini-vans could go over 100. Do the odometers even go that high?
