The Bedstock festival is unlike any other in the world. To raise awareness for the MyMusicRx organization, musicians hit the sheets rather than take the stage, performing from their bed for kids and teenagers with serious illnesses. Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale performed "Dear Daughter" (seen above) for the cause and at a standard concert.

Tucked into bed with her electric guitar, Hale gently strums away with the delicate distortion acting as an even more stripped down version of the piano-driven Into the Wild Life power ballad. "Dear Daughter" is an empowering tune as the lyrics take the role of a mother offering life lessons to her daughter with words of both advice and encouragement; a perfect selection for Bedstock.

Hale was one of a number of rockers who took part, with big name acts like Norah Jones, Panic! At the Disco, Moby, Jack Johnson, Tegan and Sara and more lending their talents for the cause. On the strictly rock side, Red Fang also participated.

In other recent performance news, Halestorm busted out a freshly learned cover of Whitesnake's smash hit "Still of the Night" at their Kalamazoo, Mich. performance last month. Hale joked with the crowd that the band nearly opted out of performing the track since they had only just learned it, but decided if they mess up with millions of people watching that it'd be okay. After the banter, she belted out the opening line before that famous, hulking riff came in and the song was officially underway. Hale's sultry voice was made for this song, mirroring the grit and soul of Whitesnake singer David Coverdale.

The band is also prepping an EP of Christmas covers, teasing their holiday spirit with their rendition of AC/DC's "Mistress for Christmas" which can be heard here. The song, however, will not appear on the EP and more details concerning the release have not been made available as of yet.
