The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard warning for tonight that covers most of the Tri-State. The warning is in effect from 6PM tonight until noon Wednesday.

Snowfall amounts could be between 8 and 12 inches in the Evansville area.

Eyewitness News meteorologist Wayne Hart had this to say on his Facebook page this morning, "The closest historical analog to this upcoming winter storm is a system from January 3, 1996. That storm dumped about 4-6" in those Tri-State counties along & north of the Ohio River with heavier 12"+ amounts northeast of the Tri-State over south-central Indiana. The latest computer guidance, however, indicates this year's storm has a heavier snow potential for portions of the Tri-State."

We'll keep an eye on these changing weather developments and will keep you updated.
