Local Businesses Take Up the Cause for Soldier Dogs for Independence

Mark your calendars for Saturday March 7th.  We'd love for you to be part of this fundraiser.  If you have never heard of Soldier Dogs for Independence, then you really need to check them out. From March 1st - 7th, iphonetodd, Brian Schmitt Heating & Cooling and Abby's Shabby Chic Furniture & Decor are asking you to stop in and donate and support this cause.
They will match the donations up to $1000, and that will go to helping Veterans with PTSD.  Starting Monday, the 2nd, all iphonetodd's five locations will have donation buckets.  You can also give a donation at Brian Schmitt Heating & Cooling Tech, or stop by Abby's Shabby Chic next to iphonetodd's northside location on 1st Ave. across from GD Ritzy's to donate.

On Saturday, March 7th, 103GBF and two of our sister stations will be broadcasting live along with some veterans and their service dogs to our new South Green location across from Circle K.  We hope you can show up and show your support for a great cause. We lose way too many veterans to suicide; an estimated 22 a day.  Yes, 22 a day, and this program is trying to help that number go down. Soldier Dogs for Independence has helped get veterans out of the hole they felt they were stuck in. They are a nonprofit 501 C 3 organization and have a waiting list for veterans.
