Back in the summer of 1980 Evansville had a thriving local band scene. One day I was working at KC-103 (which is now 103GBF) and my boss, the late Dave Lyons brought the Amulet album in and asked me to spend some time listening to it.  I did and I likes what I heard.  I remember them sounding a lot like Robin Trower. We threw the cut "Just Like A Woman" into rotation, and then we went even further, creating an album full of local talent called the KC103 Home Cookin' Album, which of course a band like Amulet was part of.  We did several events with them, at Kramer's, Lamey's and our big Home Cooking album kickoff concert at Chandler Raceway Park.  The crowd was large and Amulet kicked ass, further solidifying the position as one of the premier hard rock bands in the area.
