No matter your opinion on sultry singer Lana Del Rey, you can’t deny the girl is something of a mystery. Mysteries are compelling, and Del Rey is only adding to her mysterious allure with the new video for her song ‘National Anthem.’

The leggy 26-year-old singer plays both Marilyn Monroe and Jacqueline Kennedy in the new clip, which sees her teaming with A$AP Rocky for a dreamy and somewhat vague mini-commentary on politics, racism and beehive hairdos.

Del Rey, born (gasp!) Elizabeth “Lizzie” Woolridge Grant, garnered Internet affection with the clip for her song “Video Games” in 2011. Her breakthrough album, ‘Born to Die’ was released in January.

Critics blasted Del Rey after a less than stellar ‘Saturday Night Live’ performance in January, but the criticism didn’t exactly end her career. Del Rey continued to tour in the U.S, and Europe, signed with a modeling agency around that time, and “Born to Die” was a success, opening at the top spot on several music charts, including the UK albums chart.

Del Rey continues to work her mysterious, sensual image with her latest video and provocative photo shoots, which have kept her on our radar and inspired us to maker her our Crush of the Day.
