Korn’s Jonathan Davis + Marilyn Manson = "something completely unexpected," at least that is what both Manson and Davis have promised and confirmed. During an article in Metal Hammer, Manson hinted at the possibility of the pair doing “something completely unexpected together,” now that they had rekindled their friendship. Davis then took to Facebook to confirm Manson’s statement.

It's no secret that the musicians were friends in the early 2000s and Manson even worked with the Korn frontman to help him create a song for the 2002 movie Queen of the Damned, but they drifted apart. Manson told Metal Hammer, “Jonathan and I used to be really close. We hadn’t seen each other in quite some time. Now he and I are talking about doing something completely unexpected together.”

A day after the article was published, Davis took to his social media page, stating simply “Yes this is happening” and hashtagging “ogsh-t” (“original gangster sh-t”) as a nod to their long running history and friendship. Check out his Facebook post below:

Manson has had a successful acting run recently, while still performing and working on music. He talked with Metal Hammer about balancing music and acting. “Acting is new to me, so that’s more exciting," continued Manson. "There might come a day when I don’t feel like doing music – but I don’t see that any time soon. I feel excited as I used to, and more focused in what I want to do. “

Check out the full interview with Manson is in the new issue of Metal Hammer. We’ll keep you updated on what Davis and Manson are working on, when we know more.
