Kid musicians are fun to watch, especially when they're headbangers. They might not have world-class skill yet, but seeing them play along to classics from gateway acts like AC/DC is a good sign for rock in the decades to come. When they're seven-years-old and have SlipknotCannibal Corpse and Meshuggah in their headphones and drumsticks in their hands, we might have a heavy metal lifer.

His name is Momo DeMonster and in the video above you can watch him bash the skins to Slipknot's "Heretic Anthem." He counts in and gets some rapid foot-action going, keeping the beat steady and demonstrates a solid sense of timing with pauses and tight snare rolls.

Below, he daringly takes on the Cannibal Corpse favorite "Hammer Smashed Face" and nails it. Paul Mazurkiewicz, Cannibal Corpse's drummer, is known for his unorthodox style of playing and this little dude has a great feel for the off-kilter fills and beats. And how about those cymbal catches? DeMonster is right!

Increasing the difficulty, he's even done Meshuggah's paralyzing obZen track, "Bleed." Tackling the work of Tomas Haake is one of the greatest challenges as he's an authority on complexity, using his limbs independently to give Meshuggah their signature gyrating, jarring sound. Watch that one below too.

This promise for the future has only done a handful of other covers, including Dragonforce's thrilling "Through the Fire and Flames" and Decapitated's "Spheres of Madness," another tricky selection. Check them out YouTube and Facebook.
