Kentucky Storm Chaser Captures Morganfield Tornado on Video
Unless you slept through it, you know that a series of severe storms tore through parts of the Tri-State on Sunday afternoon. While most of Vanderburgh, Posey, and Warrick counties saw little to no damage as the storm broke a part and weakened as it entered those areas, our neighbors in Illinois and south of Henderson weren't as fortunate.
As most of us remained indoors, keeping an eye on the coverage, and preparing to take shelter at a moments notice, local storm chaser Chris Conley and his partner were on the streets tracking the storms and reporting what they saw to Eyewitness News.
The video below captures the storm cell that spun up around Morganfield, Kentucky and ultimately tore through the town of Corydon. The bulk of 11-plus minute video features Conley and a man by the name of "Kerry" driving down Highway 60 with their sights set on the storm as it develops into the tornado before breaking up a bit and reorganizing once it gets closer to Corydon. It's pretty amazing footage that demonstrates the immense power a tornado can generate.
