“Just Another Band Out Of Boston…”

That's a line from the song "Rock and Roll Band" from the debut album by Boston.  At one time that was the best selling debut album of all time, until Hootie and The Blowfish came along. Damn.  Regardless Original member and band mastermind Tom Scholz is bringing Boston to The Ford Center for a concert on July 15.  Tickets will go on sale Friday morning at 10am here and also at The Ford Center Box Office.

Here's who is in the band these days:

Tom Scholz – lead and rhythm guitar, bass, keyboards, percussion, backing vocals (1976–present)

Gary Pihl – rhythm and lead guitar, keyboards, backing vocals (1985–present)

Curly Smith – drums, percussion, harmonica, backing vocals (1994–1997, 2012–present)

Jeff Neal – drums, percussion, backing vocals (2002–present)

Kimberley Dahme – bass, guitar, vocals (2001–present)

Tommy DeCarlo – lead vocals, keyboards, percussion (2008–present)

Tracy Ferrie – bass guitar, backing vocals (2012–present)

Boston hasn't released new material since Life, Love & Hope in 2013.  They have sold 31 million albums worldwide, 17 million of which were their debut album.  Below is a 2008 video of the band performing while on tour.
