Even if this bridge wasn't haunted, it's still creepy as heck...

The Sim Smith Bridge was built in 1883 in Montezuma, Indiana, and is still in use today.

So, right off the bat, if you are in your car, driving over this 130 year old bridge, it's gonna give you the heebie-jeebies.

Just watching this video made me have heart palpitations and no ghosts even showed up...

But despite this bridge just being old and creepy in it's 135 year-old oldness, there is actually a ghost story involved with it.

Supposedly, in the 1890's a woman and her baby (why is it ALWAYS a woman and her baby on a bridge??) were walking across the bridge when a horse a buggy came around the corner through the tunnel. Unfortunately, the tunnel is a one-way road, and the horse and buggy couldn't stop in time before they collided with the woman and child, killing them.

It's said you can hear either the cries of a baby, or horse hooves on the bridge....But when you look around...NOTHING IS THERE...

Some have even claimed to have seen the woman in child hiding in the shadows of the bridge, trying to avoid the oncoming traffic...for eternity...
