Indiana Teacher Fired for Taking Students to Strip Club
That will teach them the value of a dollar.
An Indiana high school teacher was fired earlier this week after being accused of getting some of his students liquored up and stoned before taking them to a strip club.
According to reports, 31-year-old chemistry teacher Travis Lechien invited several of his students from Hanover Central High School over to his house in Cedar Lake on several occasions, allowing them to consume alcoholic beverages and smoke weed from a hooka.
A probable cause affidavit prepared by Lake County Prosecutors states that on one occasion, Lechien allegedly took the students to a local strip club for a coming of age celebration.
In addition to losing his job with the school, Lechien is also facing three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is scheduled to appear in court next month.
Well, it nice to see that the mentor program hard at work, but this really just goes to show that extracurricular activity is another area where Indiana falls behind. Teachers on the west coast are already shooting heroin with students and taking them to brothels.
Indiana, you must try harder!
