For a teenager, getting your driver's license is one of the best days of your life. For the parent of a teen driver, perhaps it's one of the scariest. It's scary for a reason...teen drivers are knuckleheads with may too many distractions these days. But how do the teens in Indiana compare to the rest of the country?

The folks at WalletHub put together a report of 2016’s Best & Worst States for Teen Drivers. They compared the driving conditions for teens in the 50 U.S. states based on a bunch of scientific stuff that I don't fully understand, but you might. Did Indiana make the top 10 or bottom 10?

Best States for Teen Drivers

  • New York
  • Oregon
  • Illinois
  • Delaware
  • Hawaii
  • Massachusetts
  • Washington
  • Louisiana
  • Rhode Island
  • California

Worst States for Teen Drivers

  • Mississippi
  • Maine
  • Wisconsin
  • Idaho
  • Missouri
  • Nebraska
  • Montana
  • North Dakota
  • Wyoming

That's great (or not so great) for those states...but what about Indiana? Well, we are just slightly above average, coming in at #22. Our friends across the river in Kentucky came in at #27.
