Honoring The Fallen: Sandman Pays Tribute To Veterans And First Responders by Visiting The Wall that Heals in Evansville

Now through Sunday, there are some very special tributes in town at the West Side Public Library on West Franklin Street.  Rolling Thunder® Indiana Chapter 6, along with community support, is displaying The Wall That Heals (Traveling Vietnam Memorial), the Global War on Terror Wall of Remembrance, and The Honor Wall.

Today, my Digital Editor Ashley and I went out today to talk to some of the folks behind these honorable displays as well as some of the people viewing them.  We shot some video which is posted below.

It was truly moving for me, thinking about all of the men and women who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, so that you and I can enjoy the freedoms that America stands for.

The walls will be on display at the West Side Public Library off Franklin from September 3-6th at 6 PM. If you are a veteran, there are people on-site to not only give you resources but also emotional support.
