I ran into an old high school friend at the store the other night.  Lou McCool has always been cool, and maybe now even cooler that his son is in an up-and-coming band based out of Nashville.  They're called Future Thieves, and they are breaking out nationwide.

Austin McCool and Nick Goss are Evansville guys and Memorial High School grads.  They along with, Gianni Gibson and Elliot Collett round out the band.   They're currently working on their first full length album to follow up an EP they put out last year.  The band is in a competition for a chance to appear at the annual Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester,TN.  They have already landed a spot at another big gig, Milwaukee's "Summerfest".  Check out the band on Facebook here, and their website here.  Future Thieves music, as I would describe it, is Americana, or Roots Rock.  Just good, honest and simple melodies.  Give a listen to the band's song "Rosie" in video form below.
