I'm always curious to see if a band can sound as good live as they do on a record. Some bands can pull it off, some fall horribly short. How does Highly Suspect sound? See and decide for yourself.

One of the first things I do when I find a band/song that I dig is to look for a live version of it. I go into expecting the live version to kind of suck. I just realize how tough it is to sound really good live. So I'm pleasantly surprised when I find a good live performance. I end up having a bit more respect for that band and I end up digging that song even more.

That's definitely what happened when I saw this version of "Lydia" from Highly Suspect. I'll be honest, it took a little while for this song to grow on me. Contrary to what you might think, I (we) don't automatically love every new song we play on 103GBF. I wasn't crazy about "Lydia" at first - but the more I heard it, the more I started to like it. So I thought to myself, "wonder how these guys sound live?" The answer is below. Granted it's in a controlled studio environment, as opposed to a loud and hectic bar environment, but damn, it sounds pretty friggin' good.

What do you think?
