For 20 years, downtown Owensboro has been helping residents wind down after a long work-work with their summer-long FREE Friday After 5 festival and concert series. If you've never been, plan on going because moreso now than ever, it's a GREAT time!

Friday After 5 is a summer-long series of free outdoor concerts held every Friday on the eight block, stunningly beautiful Owensboro, Kentucky riverfront.

Friday After 5 began in 1996 with four concerts and grew into a 16-week signature festival for the entire tri-state area hosting more than 50,000 visitors each season on the riverfront every Friday After 5. It’s Where the Weekend Begins!

Friday After 5 was again named one of the “Top Ten Summer Festivals” in Kentucky and just won the prestigious Reader’s Choice Platinum Award for “Best Community Event” of the year.  The festival includes live bands, family events, food and entertainment and our “Toast to the Sunset” at each Friday After 5.

Location:  From RiverPark Center through Smothers Park  to the Owensboro Convention Center downtown on the Owensboro Riverfront on the Ohio River.

Hours: 5pm until 10pm each Friday.  Party Pier is open from 5pm until 11pm.

Dress: Please.

Cost: FREE but bring cash for food and drinks!

Rain: Events are moved indoors.
