Henderson, Kentucky Salvation Army in Need of Bell Ringers

The Salvation Army of Henderson is looking for volunteers willing to brave the chilly Tri-State temperatures outside city storefronts and ring their famous bell to encourage shoppers to help those less fortunate this holiday season.

According to the City of Henderson's official website, the non-profit organization is looking for volunteers to man "all three Sureway locations as well as K-Mart, Walmart and Rural King through Christmas Eve." Slots are available Monday's through Saturday's from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

As you can imagine this time of year (or any time of year for that matter), weekends are where they struggle the most for volunteers. They suggest local businesses or families sign up for an entire day, then break it down into individual shifts.
