“Go Shorty, It’s Your Birthday…”

Please, no one call me shorty. Boo maybe, but the line has to be drawn somewhere.

I turn 54 today and this is my 37th year in rock radio.  That kind of sums up my life. My family means a lot to me.  I'm lucky to have one, albeit there's only 4-5 of us.  My work has been my best companion of all.  She's been there when I was depressed, lonely, unfulfilled...and there was radio.  The good constant in my life since I was 19.

I know DJ's that live off what they've done.  I wanna live off what I'm gonna do.  Tomorrow is a new adventure.  Most of all, thanks to you.  There would be no me without you.  Because you listen, we exist and I could never put it in simpler terms.  All I can say is "Thanks", and wait til you see the stripper that pops out of the cake.
