Grab the family and spend an evening enjoying the 1985 classic, The Goonies on the lawn of the Franklin Street Library absolutely free!

Saturday night's showing marks the second Movie in the Park after debuting the community event in June with a showing of everyone's favorite musical, Grease.

The fun begins at 6pm with a picnic in the park, however it is unclear whether food will be provided, or if you are to bring your own. Personally, I would air on the side of caution and go with the latter. According to the event information on the Franklin Street Events Association Facebook page, the film will begin "at 8pm at dark", and attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite '80's inspired fashion.

Free popcorn will also be available for everyone in attendance, although there is no mention of whether a rendition of the "Truffle Shuffle" will be required (I'm guessing probably not).

The next Movie in the Park is scheduled for August 24th with a Sci-Fi theme, and the Association is currently taking suggestions from the public on what movie to show. Vote for one of the already recommended films, or make your own suggestion on their Facebook page.
