Downtown Evansville will now have more lunch options. From now until New Year's Eve, a pilot program allowing food trucks between Locust and Walnut at lunchtime will give those who live or work downtown more variety in dining choices.

Five vendors applied for a food truck permit, but Lunch Box truck owner, Kirsta Johnson, was the only one who showed up on the first day. Johnson plans on offering a revolving menu and will be offering "The Big Bubba" - a double cheese burger with smoked pulled pork and some grilled onions.
