One of the biggest (and funniest and most unusual) stories of the past week has been this sign language interpreter from the Nelson Mandela memorial - who, by all accounts, is a complete fraud. So if he wasn't doing real sign language, what was he saying with his hands?

Jimmy Kimmel had a professional sign language interpreter on his show the other night to translate for us. As it turns out, the impostor was indeed doing real sign language motions, he was just using the same ones over and over again and basically speaking sign language gibberish. Once you hear what the guy was signing during the memorial you'll understand why deaf people and sign language professionals around the world were so quick to cry 'foul.' Personally I think it's hilarious that this guy got away with it, not only at the Mandela memorial, but he has done this at other public events in South Africa. Amazing!
