The Southwestern Indiana Bass Classic presented by Coors, is finally upon us. We’d love to invite you out to the Angel Mound Boat Ramp on Saturday, September 20th to watch the anglers battle for the ultimate bass — and the grand prize of $1,000.
Dozens of anglers will descend on the Ohio River to try to snag that big bass and get big payouts in the process. The overall winner will receive $1000, second place will receive $750, and the first bass to be pulled out with the exact weigh in of 3.0 pounds will receive $500!
Register now! It’s $100 per boat with a max of 2 anglers per boat. Deadline to register is August 29, 2014!!!

The fun begins at 7am with the weigh in at 3pm.

Bass Classic Rules:

  1. Entry fee: $100 per boat
  2. All fish will be measured.Golden Rule board will be used.  1lb penalty for short fish.
  3. Any person under the age of 18 fishing by themselves must have release signed by parent or guardian
  4. Maximum 2 persons per boat
  5. THIS IS A CATCH AND RELEASE TOURNAMENT.  ALL FISH MUST BE RETURNED TO THE RIVER IMMEDIATELY AFTER WEIGH IN (with the exception of dead or dying fish as determined by the tournament director).
  6. Only fish caught in the Ohio River or its tributaries will be allowed.
  7. Artificial baits only. No trolling
  8. Only Largemouth, Smallmouth or KY. Spotted Bass will be weighed
  9. 5 fish limit per boat. No culling at the ramp.
  10. 8 oz penalty for dead fish.
  11. Late penalty: 1lb per minute.  10 minutes late=disqualification
  12. Live well checks will be made.  Other boat compartments at discretion of director.
  13. Tournament hours as per schedule
  14. Life jackets will be worn when boat is on plane. Penalty for running without life jacket = disqualification
  15. Random polygraph test may be given.  Cost borne by complaint.  If test is positive offender pays.
  16. Participants agree to cooperate with all law enforcement agencies.
  17. Tournament director will hold official time.  It will be announced before takeoff.
  18. All boats must meet U.S. Coast Guard requirements and adhere to all safety regulations.
  19. All participants must comply with local, state, and federal fishing regulations
