Additional Information

The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2013, 238,590 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and 29,720 will lose their lives to it. Prostate cancer can be a serious disease, but most men diagnosed with prostate cancer do not die from it. With advanced surgical and radiation therapy treatments, more than 2.5 million men in the United States who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer are still alive today.

In continuing to increase awareness about the prevention, detection and treatment of prostate cancer, Evansville Cancer Center/Vantage Oncology (ECC/VO) is welcoming special guest speaker and urologic oncologist Dr. Joseph Klink of Deaconess Clinic to its monthly “ Talking Man to Man” prostate support group meeting on Tuesday, November 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The meeting will take place at ECC/VO located on 700 North Burkhardt Road in Evansville. Dr. Klink will be answering questions about “What is a Urologic Oncologist” and how this medical specialist can help educate prostate cancer patients about their treatment options.
