An Evansville woman is wanting to give Tri-State families a clean slate when it comes to their lunch tab at locals schools, and she's hoping the Tri-State's giving nature will help her accomplish the task once again.

Kristina Arwood, a Marketing Manager for ERA First Advantage Realty in Evansville, has been featured on local news outlets over the past week after creating a GoFundMe Account that covered the debt for all the students who needed it at Cedar Hall Elementary. Arwood, a former student at the school, knows all too well how tough it can be for a family to afford school lunches after her own struggled to do so during her time there.

After her goal of $777 for Cedar Hall was hit in two days time, she re-opened the fundraising account with a new goal of wiping out lunch debts as schools across Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Spencer counties.

We received a message from one of Kristina's employees, Nicole Thompson, through our Facebook page alerting us to Kristina's new goal. According to Nicole, Kristina has already raised enough money since re-opening the account to wipe out the lunch debt of all the schools in Warrick County, and is now working toward collecting enough to cover Vanderburgh.

Kristina has set a goal of $65,000 on the GoFundMe Account. As of this writing, they've received $16,749 of that goal in just eight days.

If you'd like to help, simply visit the account on the GoFundMe website and follow the steps to donate as much as you're comfortable giving.
