Evansville Watch: A Must Have Facebook Friend

I have a serious Facebook creeping problem. There is a friend where I can't wait for their next update. And I check their page when I get a break at work, to see what I missed.

I'm talking about the Facebook page for Evansville Watch.

Last week Evansville Watch kept it's followers informed when a dangerous fugitive on the run from police caused some local schools were placed on lock down.

Tonight, the people behind Evansville Watch went above and beyond to provide information about the stand-off on Vann Avenue. The post about the stand-off generated more than 450 responses.

The page is also a place that former Evansville residents go to find out what is going on in town.

The most amazing thing about the page is that it is ran entirely by volunteers. These people listen to police scanners not only from Evansville, but also surrounding cities including Henderson and Mt. Vernon.

So if you want to know what is going on in the area, Evansville Watch is the friend to add on Facebook.
