For the third time in a year, the Sun, Earth, and the Moon will all align in a way that will cause the Moon to appear orange-ish red, commonly known as a "Blood Moon". But if you live in the Evansville-Henderson area, you'll have to get up early Saturday morning to see it.

What exactly is a "Blood Moon" you ask? In simple, layman terms, the Earth gets in between the Sun and the Moon causing the Sun's rays to produce a glow around the Earth that casts itself onto the Moon. For a more detailed description, I'll defer to people who know FAR more than I do, NASA scientists:

Now then, if you want to actually witness this natural marvel Saturday morning, you'll have to get up a little earlier than you're accustomed to. According to TimeAndDate.com, the best view we'll get here will take place at 6:22 A.M. As mentioned in the video above, because of our location, we won't get a full view of the finished product, but we'll get a pretty good chunk of it.
