School is out for the summer in Evansville which means you need to find something to keep the kids occupied for the next eight weeks or so. What better way to past the time and survive the normally muggy Southern Indiana summers than with a dip in one of our public pools!

Outside of Lloyd Pool on North 1st Avenue, which is open year-round thanks to being indoors, the remaining public pools around the city open their gates roughly one week following the conclusion of the school year, and operate until the week before the new school year begins, which this year will be August 10th.

Hartke Pool next to Swonder Ice Arena, and the Burdette Park Aquatics Center get the summer party started when both open up on Memorial Day. The remainder of the facilities (see map below) will open up a few days later on Saturday, June 4th.
