There are a couple of things that can make a night of heavy drinking a less than desirable experience – hitting parked cars and being Tased by police officers is definitely high on the list.

Just ask Simon Johnson Jr., of Evansville who is now facing multiple charges which stem for an episode of drunken debauchery that ended with him riding a little bit of lighting after he repeatedly resisted law enforcement.

According to a report by the Evansville Police Department, officers got suspicious when they spotted Johnson’s white Ford F-150 run a stop sign on at top speed on South Adams Avenue without any headlights on.

In the meantime, reports started coming in of a woman trying to stop the driver of a white truck after it allegedly hit her car on Adams Avenue, which also caused damage to two other vehicles. What a coincidence – right?

When officers finally got Johnson to pull over, he was apparently so inebriated that he actually almost backed his truck into the police cruiser – which is never a good way to get things started with police.

One of the officers reported that it was “immediately evident” that Johnson had been drinking because he displayed glassy eyes – he reeked of booze and he was slurring his speech. Yep, those are usually imminent signs that someone has really tied one on!

The report states that when officers instructed Johnson to get out of his vehicle he flat out refused, and began reaching for what could have been the hatchet, the hammer, or the unopened beer that he had on the floorboard of his truck. We hope that he was reaching for the unopened beer. After all, it would be a shame to let the last one go to waste.

After Johnson failed to comply with the officer’s warnings, he was Tased and then taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where his blood alcohol registered twice the legal limit.

Although no one was hurt in the incident, we cannot possible image how much worse Johnson’s hangover was after police gave him that 50,000 volt taser chaser.
