Three pitchers and two position players are set to represent our hometown squad at the annual Frontier League All-Star Game Wednesday, July 15th in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Pitchers Trevor Walch, Will Oliver and Edgar Lopez will join outfielder John Schultz and infielder Shayne Houck on the East All-Stars roster.

Despite losing his last start on short rest, starting pitcher Walch still carries an impressive 1.77 ERA and leads the Frontier League in complete games with three.

San Diego, California native Will Oliver boasts a 1.69 ERA at this point in the season and has produced a quality start in seven of his nine outings. He has a strikeout to walk ratio of a little more than three to one, having struck out 58 batters and walking just 18.

When it comes to closers, few in the Frontier League are better than Edgar Lopez. He is 13-for-13 in save situations and is five-for-five in erasing inherited runners. Lopez has allowed just one run in 2015 and that run was unearned, giving him a league-leading 0.00 ERA.

Outfielder John Schultz has been a beast at the plate all season, leading the team in extra base hits with 22 (13 doubles, two triples and seven home runs). His .329 batting average is seventh in the Frontier League This is his second All-Star nod after receiving the honor in his first season in the league two seasons ago.

Reigning Frontier League MVP Shayne Houck is making his second consecutive trip to the All-Star Game despite battling injuries for most of the season. He leads the team in home runs with eight and RBI with 30.

Congratulations to all five players on their All-Star nods!
