While the much needed rain we received yesterday was a very welcomed sight, it did put a damper on the Evansville Otters home stand. Their Independence Day game against the Schaumburg Boomers was postponed due to the weather.

That game will be made up today, along with their final game in this series against Schaumburg. The Otters and Boomers will have a double header this evening at Bosse Field. Both games will be shortened to seven innings, with the first game staring an hour earlier than usual, at 5:35pm.

These games wrap up a 6-game home stand.  The Otters head to Florence, KY for a three game series against the Freedom. After that the Otters have four days off during the Frontier League All-Star break. The Otters next home stand will be a three game series against the Rockford RiverHawks from 7/13-7/16.

Each week we like to put the spotlight on a different Evansville Otters player. The latest Player of the Week is catcher Andrew Kuhn.
