Evansville Man Stands Up to Criminal Yielding Samurai Sword
Though it may seem like a peaceful, sometimes boring city. Evansville Police are exposed on a daily basis to the strange, out of the ordinary, and bizarre inhabitants of our fair city.
Police were called to 2415 N. Kerth Ave. Thursday on a report of criminal mischief where they found the victim, 50-year-old local Brian Millard. Millard said two men had attempted to enter his house, damaging the screen door in the process. When Millard confronted the suspects, he said they intended to hurt an acquaintance of his when they saw him out on his scooter. Millard said during this altercation one of the men was dressed in black and holding an unsheathed samurai sword over three feet in length with a bamboo sheathe at his side. Both suspects fled the scene by the time the police had arrived.
